My wife and i do this work out every night in accordance with the chart it comes with. Some background on myself. I have a second degree blackbelt in thai kwon do and muy thai mix. I stopped going due to life getting in the way and spent a year off, occasionally doing exercises and some cardio. My wife is active but nothing to that scale. . We decided that we want to stay in shape so i thought we could give this a shot. This is an intense workout but it is a lot of fun and varied. You don't do the same thing every day. You do a workout 6 days a week and the 7th day is a rest day. Some days they add a 15 minute ab work out at the end of the regular workout. We are 3 weeks in and i lost 6 pounds. My wife is getting better at keeping up (at times i have difficulty keeping up) and she feels she is getting stronger and she said she has lost some weight, (she is not overweight but won't tell me how much she lost ; ) ). . So something to keep in mind when you do this work out is sometimes you will need space and i would recommend getting maybe a yoga mat or an exercise mat. There is an exercise that we do that is a side lunge to backward lunge to forward lunge so you need to make sure you have enough space to do stuff like this without dripping sweat everywhere. . I think the band it came with is pretty light weight and i ended up buying a resistance band set to use as a heavier resistance. . It is much better than other videos i have seen where it is just ok down 2, 3, 4, ok up 2, 3, 4. The trainer keeps it interesting and like i said it is pretty fun.  . . I think if i had to nitpick a complaint, i would have liked to see him to a stretch for say 5 minutes prior to the exercise. You get a good warm up going but i would have still liked to see a stretch. -W. Guest

I recently picked up the jump rope mastery dvd after a lifetime of failing to learn the more advanced jump rope exercises. Ever since i saw the first rocky movie as a kid, i have tried, on and off to learn advanced jumping techniques that boxers use. Needless to say, i winded up failing to learn the coolest jumps, and would wind up giving up. When i saw this video featured professional instruction on how to use a speed rope the right way, i knew i had to give it a try. . After watching this dvd a few times, i am pretty impressed with the instruction that is offered. The video features high quality video and audio. Every technique and trick is taught in an easy-to-follow manner by the trainer who is featured on this dvd. This guy is apparently a very well-known trainer in new york. I had never heard of him before, but it is apparent that he knows his stuff when it comes to teaching people how to progressively learn impressive jump rope exercises. . One word of warning there are programs on the dvd for beginner, intermediate and advanced jumpers. I considered myself to be an intermediate jump roper, but after checking out the routines, i had to switch over to the beginner workout until i improve, which i fully intend to by including this dvd into my workouts. I bought this dvd because i already owned the sonic boom speed rope that was created by the same company. That being said, the exercises on this dvd can be done with any type of jump rope, which is nice for people who haven t yet upgraded to a higher quality speed rope. . All in all, i am very satisfied with this speed rope dvd and look forward to using it a lot in the weeks and months to come.

Great dvd for all skipping rope levels! the dvd offers 3 levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. I have been skipping rope for about half a year now, but i wasn't sure what level i would consider myself. Just browsing through the main menu, i could see something in each level that interested me. Watching and working through the entire dvd, i found good help and advice in each section on improving technique as well as different tricks and moves that keep skipping rope interesting and separate it from the monotony of so many other workout routines. I am a middle-aged male and former college athlete who started ript90 in august of 2016. My goal at the time was to shed some extra weight, reduce my waistline, and tone up. Since i never worked out in front of a television, i didn't want to invest in p90x just in case i disliked that exercise format. The reviews for ript90 were decent, and the price was very reasonable-so why not? as with any exercise program, you will only achieve results if you are disciplined and stay consistent. I found that exercising in front of my t. V. Wasn't that bad. Although i chose not to integrate the diet menu, i achieved each of my goals, and then some. In fact, i still am doing this program almost a year later, multiple nights each week. Even my 17-year-old son (who is painfully honest) has been impressed! . . Does ript90 work? with a determined attitude to stick with it, a couple of dumb bells and/or resistance bands, this program will certainly improve your cardio and physique. If you are incredibly out of shape or obese, then following a doctor's designed workout is the first step before considering these type of workouts. Ript90 will challenge the majority of people except iron man/ women athletes. If your physical health is at that level then you're probably not looking at this program anyway. . Ript90 is an affordable, metabolic, cardio, and strength conditioning program. There are no complex exercise movements and the workout routine is easy to follow. What i don't like about ript90 centers around jody's use of the word "buddy. " he will always include two training partners in each of his videos, and even introduce them by their names, but once the workout begins, jody seems to forget their name. This didn't bother me as much during the first 30-60 days, but from then on, and especially almost a year later i find myself yelling at my television set, "their name isn't buddy! " if jody would consider making another series (even the same one) without saying "buddy, " i would buy it! if not, then after my current disc set wears out, i will look for another program. I have just done a few of these workouts thus far. Because they all seem repetitive and basic i see myself putting the workouts to paper and doing them without the video. I consider this set to be a good workout plan. I paid $30 for the plan. Not bad. . I also own p90x, rushfilt, supreme 90 day and ruthless. I would rank them in this order:. 1. Rushfit. 2. Supreme 90 day. 3. Ript90. 4. P90x. 5. Ruthless. . Ript90 is ahead of p90x, because i just don't want to exercise 1 hour 6 days per week. I like rushfit the most as it is the best routine for functional fitness and athletics (i play lots of baseball). It is also fast paced and more interesting than supreme 90 day, ript90 and p90x which are similar to each other. Ruthless isn't bad. I just prefer to lift weights. . I like jody hendricks training style the most. Steve uria of ruthless is obnoxious and tony horton is a clown. The s90 trainer, tom holland is similar to jody hendricks. I like him, too. . Update: i stuck with the plan for 3 weeks and made mucho progress! i got side-tracked by whooping cough, but i am back at it, now (amazing how much strength and condition one loses after 4 weeks time). I really like that i am doing lots of pull ups with this routine and lots of pushups, too. I added a star to my original review!

- L. TerryExcellent workout for a cheap price. You will get results with this product. Before you buy, just understand these workouts are extremely intense. You should get in decent shape before you attempt to do it. . Update 7/31/2016. Don't be intimidated or discouraged by the difficulty of these workouts. If you find them too hard then take breaks, modify, do less reps, or hit the pause button. Honestly, some of these workouts are unrealistic. For example, in chest shredder, you're supposed to do 12 sets of pushups, 3 sets of bench press, and 3 sets of flies. Most people can't do that without the assistance of steroids. Just do as much as you can and push yourself and you will get results.

I finished. I'm 48 and did all 90 days. No, i do not look like the trainer (jody) but i do look very fit so i'm happy with the results. As jody mentions in the videos, diet has as much to do with it as exercise. Other reviews mentioned that jody is a likable trainer, and not an "in your face bro" kind of guy. I totally agree. There's a bit of humor thrown in that helps to keep things fun. The workouts themselves are very challenging, even after all 90 days. Another thing often mentioned by jody is your responsibility to scale the exercises. There is always one of his trainees in the video doing an alternate scaled version of the exercise to help guide you. I found that a few of the activities were a little too high impact or too difficult for me so i scaled them down (for example using pull-down bands rather than doing pull ups). By the end, there were even a few exercises that i was able to scale up for a little extra challenge. For the most part, i was still challenged all the way through doing the routines as is. . The only modification i might suggest to the program itself is that the arm workout isn't used enough. I took a few weeks off and now i'm restarting. This time i'm going to fit the arm workout into a few extra days. . It's nice to see a variety of trainees used in the videos ranging from a college kid, to a mom, to a bulky business man, to an older guy (like me). It's not a bunch of super pumped body builders - just regular fit people. . Don't let the workout titles scare you, they are just creative marketing. You will be sore at times but you will feel and look strong if you keep with it and eat well. Don't expect to jump right in and do a routine strict from start to finish. Do what you can and you'll notice the gains quickly. While you are waiting for your dvds to arrive, start doing some daily push ups and squats to get yourself ready!

I can't speak for those in peak physical condition, but for those of us who are in less than optimal shape, yayog kicks ass. I am only at the novice level, but i already see results in a short period of time. The first time i did yayog, i could not do the plank exercise in the warm-up and could not finish the mountain climbers in workout 1. I was exhausted and very sore for days afterwards. Now i can do both rather easily and with good form, so it is time to go on to workout 2 for something more challenging. I just finished my first day of the novice dvd. I did the timed routine. The only one i wasn't able to do all the way through was the mountain climbers. Those might take me awhile to build up to. I have to say though that the nest hardest was the one i thought was going to be easy peasy. The swims! i was able to do them all the way through but wow did i ever feel it! i felt my lower abs like i've never felt them before. . There is no wasted chatter like so many other exercise videos. I don't need to have someone telling me over and over that i can do it. I really don't need to hear that when i'm trying my best not to collapse on the floor and die because the workout is too much for me. Mark doesn't do that. He explains the moves, what muscles they work and talks you through the exercises. . Finally a work out dvd that i can really feel working but isn't so difficult to do that i feel like a total loser for even trying when i'm this out of shape! i'm even looking forward to doing it again! -Notice from J. Just to give you an idea of how much i like this set of dvds: i was recently on a short trip and had a breakfast meeting at 7 am, but woke up at 6 am just to do one of the workouts - after going to bed at 1 am! in short, i'm really sold on yayog. Mark lauren's program makes sense. He is calm, cool, collected, and very encouraging. I've been doing the novice dvd for about three weeks. . But let me explain why i only give it four stars instead of five: it does not come with any instructions - on the dvd or in an accompanying booklet - that explain how to set up your program. In addition to the warm-up and cool-down, there are three types of training on the first dvd (as well as on the other two). Each is challenging, and you really get a great work-out! the problem is this: it took me a while to figure out a program because of the lack of any instructions. So what i do is this: monday timed sets; wednesday ladders; friday circuit training. This works for me, and perhaps some of you will find that useful, too. But i wish mark lauren would have included something either on the dvds themselves or in an instruction booklet explaining what to do and when to do it. The next problem i foresee is not knowing when to move on to the next dvd: intermediate. Again, i suppose that when the novice dvd becomes too 'easy, ' but that is subjective. Again, some instructions would help. . Perhaps you need to buy his book for that! a great exercise program, but would be five stars if the dvd set came with more complete "instructions"!

- X. OlgaI am really a big fan of mark lauren. I've done his efx and mobility workouts. I just ordered this dvd set a month or so ago, and wish i had purchased it first. It's really a much better starting point than efx, and serves as a great workout when you are in a time crunch. These workouts are shorter, but they can bring plenty of intensity. I have not done the advanced workouts yet, but imagine they are closer to the efx workouts which can be very intense. . I am fairly experienced weight lifter, and have found great benefit by doing these body weight workouts. They are deceptively hard, and will challenge your strength, mobility and cardio. Some of the moves may be difficult because of lack of mobility, but there are ways of modifying, i suggest you check out the book for potential substitutes (i have trouble with his military press, so i modify a bit). I like mark's calm demeanor during the videos and his instruction is great. He only recommends doing these workouts 3 days a week, but i think you'd be okay upping it 4-6 days a week as you progress. I'm currently trying to get in 3-4 a week with some additional work on off days or after the dvd (i typically do a couple sets of heavy goblet squats and ab roll outs post yayog workout). . As an added benefit, i've noticed since starting mark's workouts, i'm in a lot less pain. Less shoulder pain, back pain and knee pain. . My only slight knock on the dvd set is the cooldown. I really like the longer cool down from efx with a lot of hip stretches (a tough spot for me). . For anyone considering any of mark's dvds, i say go for it. Start here, unless your a phenomenal athlete (then start with efx). Do efx second, and consider supplementing with his mobility dvd on off days particularly if you have mobility issues. I haven't tried the app yet, but plan on giving that a try once i'm a little further along.

I'm going to be 58 in a month and i decided to give myself a fitter body for my birthday, so i bought all 3-the dvd, book and app. I'm in moderately good shape already-i walk regularly and lift weights (although i'm no body builder, by any means). I've been eating paleo (which is what mark seems to recommend) for over a year now, with good results, mainly in feeling better (not weight loss). I'm 5'9" and 162 lbs, bmi of 23. 9 (at the top of the healthy range). My measurements are 40. 5, 33, 41. According to my scale, i've got 24. 3% body fat and 32. 6% muscle. Haven't yet tried the workouts, but can give feedback from having looked carefully at all three. Will edit this after my first 10 week cycle, to report the results. . First, i thought the dvd was a video version of the book. It isn't. It draws from the set of exercises described and pictured in the book, but the workouts are not the same as the workouts in the book. They consist of different exercises and they recommend fewer sessions per week. The book, for example, recommends 4-5 20-30 minute sessions/week, while the video recommends 3 sessions/week. In the novice section, which i've watched but not yet tried, the workouts vary from 22-27 minutes/day. The book has 4 levels of fitness, while the dvd has 3. . The strengths of the dvd over the book are: 1) it starts each exercise with an anatomical visual of mark's body with the muscles that are being worked out highlighted. I think this will help me with proper form, because i'll know which muscle groups should be getting more tired. 2) the exercises are right there, being enacted in front of you, so you learn by watching and doing. Reading descriptions in a book just can't be as effective a way to learn. With the dvd, you don't have to page back and forth between the chart of program exercises and the description of the exercise and try to figure out how to do it. You just watch and do. 3) the dvd times your workout, so you can focus on learning proper form instead of timing. . Second, while the dvd and book aren't just 2 different versions of the same thing, the book and app do seem to be just that. The 10 week programs are the same, but the app gives little video demonstrations of each exercise (if you remember to download the separate, free video add in). The app also has a timer, so you don't have to think about timing yourself. . I think all 3 forms are valuable, for different points in the process of learning a new training program, and for people who have different learning styles. The video is great for the complete beginner, since it spells everything out and times you and takes you through the workouts. You don't have to page back and forth or time yourself, or mess with your phone, pushing on the next exercise. With only 3 workouts/week, it also allows for more recovery time during the period where your body is making the most adjustment to a new training system. . The book/app has greater variety and allows someone who wants to to design their own program. I'd recommend it to people who have greater experience with this kind of training. If you want to keep the cost really low, the app seems to have most of the info you'd need to get going and see results. But the book has a lot of great info that's not in the app-detailed descriptions of the exercises, for example. I think they deliver the program best in combination-study the book and video portions of the app as you learn the exercises, and then use the app to guide you through individual workout sessions. . To the folks who put these materials together, i'd recommend that you do the following:. 1) the video needs more clear information about how to use it. It's set up in 5 sections: warm up, timed sets, ladder sets, circuit training, cool down. You don't say how to use these, so the viewer wonders, do i do all of these each of the 3 days? from having the book, i can figure that it makes sense to do the warm up and cool down and one of the other sections each day. But it's best to spell these kinds of things out. 2) repeat the index of exercises (p. 55) back near the program chapter of the book and/or list it in the table of contents. I didn't see it at first, looked for it in the back of the book. People don't look at a book like this from one page to the next to the next. This is a really important page, so you want to make sure people find it. And it would be easier if it were located right by the programs. Less paging around to do. . Okay, that's it. My morning coffee has settled in. It's time for me to hit my yayog gym! i'll report back after 10 weeks.

Honestly, i ve needed a break from the scenery at the gym. As a regular gym go where i needed a change so i started stacking up on home workout programs. I bought this product because of the incredible price as well as everything that comes with it. I have yet to use it, but i will say that everything was packaged perfectly it came with all of the necessary materials and information. Although one of the reviews that i read, actually multiple reviews, stated that the resistance band that comes with the product is poorly made and really doesn t offer any resistance that is necessary and required for the workouts. So, i bought a pack of resistance bands in addition to this to utilize for the program whenever i started. I really don t see any issues whenever i start the program

It's a great program to work out at home. It's a very well plan program. The nutrition guide is not as complete as i expected, so you must try to guess with recipies. But, ignoring that last topic, the program is excellent.

This was my first try at an mma style workout, as i have done several of the beachbody programs. I will start by saying this a good workout program providing good cardio and some muscle conditioning. Plan on committing 45-60 minutes 6 days a week if you follow the program schedule. This workout will not get you huge muscles and seems to be more focused on fat loss, but i will tell you the successes of the people you see on this program (the test group) are not common and i think most is contributed to them, following a strict nutrition plan. I do like the fact that they are not selling anything like the beachbody programs that constantly plug their other products. The beachbody programs do seem to be a little bit better put together, but for the savings with this program, it is not enough to complain about. I would suggest getting a few extra bands as the band provided is a bit light for many of the exercises.

I started this workout a week ago. So fall i had completed 5 dvd. Before tapout i was doing 21 fix extreme, piyo, insanity and p90x3. The exercises are challenging, fun and really make you sweat. The only cons will be that bands in the package are not really strong. However, for the price this package is worth it.

This " other sellers" worked perfectly. Order not clicked " other sellers" most dvd's played poorly and some did not even play. If your dvd's do not play correctly return and order again from one of the "other sellers" until you get real dvd's that work.

Pushes you, but yet keeps it fun. You look at the clock initially and are like holy crap this is hard, how much longer? then you just keep doing it and next time you look 20 minutes has already passed. Within 3 weeks i already notice a difference. . I did also purchase separate ankle resistance bands as the one included is very light. I also purchased weighted gloves. I already had a set of resistance bands at home that i bought a couple months ago and i use those on some exercises because the one that this comes with with is pretty light
